Instrumentarium Science Foundation Grant Call 2026

The Foundation has allocated 1,6 million euros to support research related to medical, technical, and natural science instruments and methods. In addition, the Foundation may fund research in economics related to these fields. Applications for grants from the Science Foundation for the year 2026 are open from 1 August to 15 September 2025. Grants are awarded exclusively for projects related to the research areas mentioned above.

Application Prioritisation and Evaluation Criteria

In the evaluation of applications, the following criteria are emphasised: the impact of the research, the novelty of the technology or methodology, and the applicant’s qualifications and commitment. The Foundation strongly recommends that doctoral grant applicants are already the first authors of at least one publication and that the doctoral project has progressed beyond the initial stages.
